Podem pedir o Auxílio Filho trabalhadores portugueses que precisem se ausentar do trabalho para dar assistência aos filhos, seja por doença comum, crônica, deficiências ou acidentes. O benefício vale tanto para a prole maior de idade ou menor.
Cada responsável pode se ausentar do trabalho por até 30 dias por ano enquanto a criança tiver até 12 anos. A partir disso, o tempo cai para 15 dias por ano. Porém, se houver 2 filhos, o direito é de 16 dias; se houver 3, 17; e assim continua.
É possível solicitar o benefício online por meio da Segurança Social Direta ou presencialmente nas lojas do cidadão. É preciso apresentar documentos, um requerimento de solicitação do benefício e aguardar a análise do pedido.
